On 17 September, Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the lots of land numbered B-20-2 and B-21-3 in the central business district of Honggu Tan in Nanchang, which will be developed into the first super commercial complex eagerly awaited by the people of Nanchang.

It is understood that the lots are situated at the south of Fenghuang Central Road and the north of Huizhan Road.  They total an area of 163.566 mu, with total building area of about 500,000 m2, of which the area for commercial use and a five-star hotel exceeds 200,000 m2. The whole project consists of a five-star hotel, an outdoor walkway, a large commercial center, and commercial buildings. It is a large-scale urban complex integrating multiple functions of shopping, catering, culture, entertainment, commerce, and leisure, etc.

Dalian Wanda Group has been present in Nanchang since 2001, developing or operating four masterpieces successively, namely, Wanda Shopping Plaza (first-generation single shop), Wanda Star City, Wanda Splendid Mansion, and Wanda International Cinemas. Wanda Shopping Plaza is located in the core of the commercial circle on Bayi Road in Nanchang. Wanda International Cinemas has already become the best place for Nanchang citizens to relax and enjoy a movie. Wanda Star City and Wanda Splendid Mansion are the first large estates on the river bank exceeding 1 million m2 in the center of Honggu Tan, and have won three categories in the housing sale of Nanchang in 2008-2009. All the units have been delivered.

The successful bid for the land is a milestone in Wanda's development in Nanchang. After the project is completed, the commercial status of the Honggu Tan area will be greatly enhanced.  It will likely bring a new commercial landscape to Nanchang and Jiangxi Province and become the new center of Nanchang.
