Dean Lai Jianyan demonstrates Wanda Group’s green development concept to US Embassy commercial representative at Wanda Exhibition

Wanda Business Planning Research Institute and China Society for Urban Studies (CSUS) jointly chair the sub-forum ‘The Energy Efficiency and Monitoring of Big Commercial Buildings’

The seventh International Conference on Green and Energy-Efficient Building & Technology and Products Expo was held at Beijing International Conference Center on March 28. The Conference was jointly organized by China Urban Science Research Institute, China Building Energy Efficiency Association, and the Green Building and Energy Efficiency Committee of CSUS. Dalian Wanda Commercial Property Co. Assistant Chairman, Dean of the Business Planning Research Institute Lai Jianyan attended the conference and gave a speech on Wanda’s Path of Green and Low Carbon. The sub-forum on ‘The Energy Efficiency and Monitoring of Big Commercial Buildings’ was held by Wanda on March 29.

The 11th CPPCC National Committee vice chairman, Jiu San Society Central Committee Vice Chairman, Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences Wang Zhizhen, China Building Energy Efficiency Association Chairman Zheng Kunsheng, Shenzhen Deputy Mayor Lu Ruifeng, U.S. Embassy Minister Robert S. Wang, British Embassy Minister Chris Wood, director of Environmental Policy, Infrastructure and Policy Division of German Federal Ministry of Transport, director of International Relations at the Energy Division of European Commission, Japanese Secretary of Land Planning Bureau of Ministry of Land and Transportation, British Columbia, Canada Minister of Investment and Trade, World Green Building Council Vice Chairman, U.S. Green Building Council Chairman, CEO and other foreign government officials attended the opening ceremony. Deputy minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, Qiu Baoxing chaired the opening ceremony.

The International Conference on Green and Energy-Efficient Building is the most significant and influential international event. The Conference this year revolved around the theme of ‘Green Building: Low Carbon and Better Urban Life’.Wanda’s booth designed by the Planning Institute was at the center of the hall. The booth’s prime location and innovative, grand design and display demonstrated Wanda’s latest research results in and the development direction of the green and energy-efficient building, and the latest technology on and applications of the energy saving, emission reduction and low-carbon ecology and environmental protection. Wanda booth especially demonstrated the three green commercial buildings in the countries, the only three of its kind in China: Guangzhou Baiyun Wanda Plaza, Fuzhou CBD Wanda Plaza, and Wuhan Lingjiaohu Wanda Plaza. The booth was the hotspot of the expo.
